Enriching Communities with Cultural Institutions
WSP has worked on some of North America’s most celebrated cultural institutions, including museums, performing arts centres, concert halls and casinos. With a core focus on sustainability, we deliver a comprehensive suite of building services for art and entertainment facilities of all types and sizes.
Sensitive Structural Solutions
Creating structures, such as museums and art galleries that will house rare artifacts or concert halls where acoustics and sightlines are paramount, requires a sensitive understanding of both design and functionality. We have the experience to manage these challenges and deliver world-class facilities for world-class cultural establishments.
Renewing Canada’s History
We’ve helped renew some of Canada’s oldest and most treasured cultural landmarks, including the Royal Ontario Museum and the Canadian Museum of Nature in our nation’s capital. The Museum of Nature’s annual visitors doubled after the existing stone masonry structure was extensively restored and the new Queen’s Lantern – a spectacular new 4-storey glass tower – was added to this classified federal heritage building.
