The project is a 49 km long airport express service between the existing Dubai International and the new Jebel Ali International airports, via the new development areas. In addition to the two terminal stations, four stations with in-town check-in facilities and three normal passenger stations without check-in facilities were planned.

The project scope is to develop three free flow alignment alternatives providing access to Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital and select the Preferred Alternative alignment. The Preferred Alternative alignment should be taken forward for detailed traffic analyses and undertake all improvements to System Interchanges, Service Interchanges and internal roadway network of South Surra Area. The project roadways are located in the heart of Kuwait City and serve relatively newly developed area of Kuwait.

The Al Wakrah Bypass consists of an 11km south-north freeway with five interchanges. The project connects with the East-West Corridor in the north and Qatar Economic Zone 3 in the south intersecting the Wukair Road and Mesaieed Road.
