GENIVAR Income Fund Acquires DDH Environnement Ltée

MONTREAL, Dec. 5 - The GENIVAR Income Fund ("GENIVAR") is pleased to announce the acquisition of DDH Environnement Ltée ("DDH Environnement"), a firm specializing in earth sciences and environmental engineering. DDH has 30 employees at its Montreal office.

"We are very pleased to welcome DDH Environnement into GENIVAR's team," said Pierre Shoiry, GENIVAR's President and CEO. "The environment is a strategic sector for GENIVAR in the development and delivery of projects in all of our market segments. Thanks to our multidisciplinary team of experts and scientists, we are among the leading companies in the environmental sector. We are now better positioned to support our clients and to move their projects forward in a context in which constantly changing environmental standards and permit regulations have become an integral part of the business process," added Mr. Shoiry.

"DDH Environnement provides us with solid and complementary expertise, most notably in the areas of environmental management, as well as in characterization and rehabilitation of contaminated industrial sites. GENIVAR will now be able to offer an expanded range of services, including emergency planning and industrial risk services," said Jean Boudreault, GENIVAR's Vice-President, Environment. "DDH Environnement also significantly expands our private-sector client base."

"We are very pleased to join forces with GENIVAR, primarily since the environmental sector plays a strategic role in all of the company's market segments," said Jean Halde, President of DDH Environnement. "Another key factor in our decision was GENIVAR's entrepreneurial business model, which focuses on flexibility and close client relations. Becoming an integral part of GENIVAR has given us a new sense of momentum. We will also be able to work on larger and more complex projects thanks to GENIVAR's scope of operations, multidisciplinary pool of skilled professionals and financial capacity."

"Our teams share the same core values of service quality and professionalism. This is a win-win situation for our employees as well as for our clients," added Mr. Halde. "We will also be able to meet the growing needs of our clients, while our employees will have access to new and exciting career opportunities throughout GENIVAR's network."
