Construction Quality Control

We have completed numerous Quality Control Reviews during the construction of many condominiums especially in Ontario.

In Ontario, Tarion Warranty Corporation has a unique Quality Assurance Program referenced in their Builder Bulletin 19 called “Condominium Projects: Design and Field Review Reporting”. This bulletin sets out the requirements for vendors / builders of designated condominiums to provide reports and information to Tarion by Field Review Consultants (FRC).

Design Review and Certificates confirm that the design complies with the Ontario Building Code and good architectural and engineering practice.

Field Review services involve the completion of site inspections during specified stages (milestones) during construction.  Reports contain information on the status of construction and whether or not any deficiencies have been identified and recommendations for corrective action. Field Review Reports also track the status of outstanding deficiencies.

We Offer

  • A history of experience negotiating with Tarion Warranty Corporation and builders
  • FRC Bulletin 19 Qualification Status (BQS)
  • Detailed deficiency reports during construction aimed at maximizing warranty coverage
  • Optional services can provided for materials testing (i.e. concrete and asphalt)
  • Building Envelope Commissioning
  • Assistance with warranty claim resolution services
  • A quality control process
