As one of the global leaders in the delivery of comprehensive engineering solutions and project services, WSP has established Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) as a core operating principle governing all of its activities in Canada. We are firmly committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, contractors and the public, and to conducting our operations in a diligent manner designed to minimize any adverse impacts on our environment.

We regard safety as more than just a workplace concern: safety is an everyday lifestyle responsibility that benefits everyone involved. With this in mind, we have created and maintained a strong HSE program for our employees, providing them with the resources and tools necessary to be safe at work, at home and in their communities.

We update the program regularly with the latest safety procedures and information, and keep employees informed about any regulatory, or industry best practices changes. Within the program, WSP also provides employee training to ensure that all employees, including our newest hires, are aware of our safety procedures.

We believe in providing a work environment where everyone is proactive about HSE and sincerely care about their safety and that of others. All management, employees, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers engaged on behalf of WSP are therefore responsible for complying with the company’s HSE program, all applicable regulatory legislations and industry best practices.

Collectively, our commitment to safety has helped make WSP a “best in class” safety leader in our industry. WSP’s senior management, in line with its goals of sustainable development and core values, is consistently pursuing its efforts to maintain the strong HSE culture of the company. Together, the steps we take and the cooperation we foster will enable WSP to maintain an incident - and injury - free work environment.

At WSP, safety is everyone's priority.

Working in the field is, in many ways, incomparable to working in an office environment. Luckily, for those of us behind a desk, the Geomatics field crews have been capturing and sharing some of their moments in the field, from snowy mountains to busy urban centers.
