Cookstown Heritage Conservation District Study and Plan

  • WSP, as part of a multidisciplinary project team, undertook a Heritage Conservation District Study within the downtown core of Cookstown, a unique community within the Town of Innisfil, an important commercial crossroad.
  • WSP provided an architectural, visual, historical, and planning analysis of the proposed district, identifying an appropriate boundary delineation.
  • WSP also determined that the defining characteristics of the community include distinct concentrations of buildings, important linkages to cultural context, and strong visual coherence and, therefore, merit heritage designation.
