Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit

The Crosstown is one of the largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects in North America. It will support future growth across Canada’s biggest and fastest-growing city.

 
  • WSP is a member of 4Transit Joint Venture, which has been awarded a 10-year Transit Expansion Department Program Management Services contract by Metrolinx.
  • Constructing the Eglinton Crosstown, a 19 kilometer rapid transit line with a 10 kilometer section tunneled underground.
  • The Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will run through the heart of Toronto, making transit travel up to 60 per cent faster in the Eglinton Avenue corridor.
  • The Eglinton Crosstown LRT will conveniently link to 54 local bus routes, three TTC interchange subway stations, and various GO Transit lines.
  • WSP prepared an Environmental Project Report Addendum addressing revisions to the project between Jane Street and Keelesdale Park, including the addition of a maintenance and storage facility for a new fleet of light rail vehicles.
