Hall Street Revitalization

Design reflects the city’s cultural identity and vibrancy.

  • WSP’s revitalization design capitalizes on Hall Street’s unique downtown connection to the waterfront, while addressing challenging elevation change, pedestrian mobility and safety, traffic circulation, sightline obstructions, and promotion of future land-use planning objectives.
  • WSP developed conceptual designs for the public realm treatment for the full length of the corridor, including the downtown business district and neighbouring areas.
  • Designs were test-proved through a detailed traffic pattern and parking study to ensure the proposed works enhance the streetscape appearance and pedestrian mobility, while improving traffic movement.
  • We worked closely with City staff to develop an achievable solution, in terms of the capital cost planning and implementation schedule, to meet both the City’s immediate needs and develop strategies for mid- and long-term planning.
