NCC Mackenzie King Estate Landscape Improvements

 
  • The National Capital Commission (NCC) retained WSP to conduct a variety of landscape and site improvements initiatives at Mackenzie King Estate, the summer home of Canada’s tenth prime minister, William Lyon Mackenzie King.
  • Services include iconic tree reporting, site design of the estate’s entry improvements, Universal Accessibility feasibility studies and implementation, multiple landscape naturalization projects, and general landscape architecture services in conjunction with a comprehensive interpretive visitor program.
  • In view of the significance of this cultural landscape, NCC also retained WSP to assist with the development of the Cultural Landscape Management & Maintenance Manual to guide the maintenance of the estate’s dynamic landscape.
