Northeast Anthony Henday Drive

This vital transportation corridor in Alberta improves the mobility of residents and supports economic development.

 
  • Under a Design-Build-Finance-Operate contract,  WSP is the Lead Highway Design Coordinator responsible for 25 per cent  of the project scope including all utility design and coordination
  • Design team consists of AECOM as Design Team Lead, and as Prime Civil Sub-Consultants, Stantec is the Segment 3 Designer, and Buckland & Taylor Ltd. is the North Saskatchewan River Bridge Designer.
  • The new infrastructure portion of the project includes approximately 27 km of new six- and eight-lane divided freeway plus additional basic and auxiliary lanes, including nine interchanges, 10 flyovers (eight  rail and two  road), two  river structures, and additional pre-grading for future interchanges
  • Construction period for the new infrastructure portion is approximately four-and-a-half years, followed by a 30-year operating period for both new and existing infrastructure
