Pipeline Remediation of Contamination of the Bronte Creek Valley

  • WSP provided the site characterization, contaminant and impact delineation, management of contaminated soils, and development of a remedial action plan for a major TNPI petroleum pipeline leak.
  • The RAP required more than 150 boreholes and monitoring wells to delineate contamination.
  • WSP designed a RAP to address soil and groundwater contamination that included an access road and temporary bridge.
  • The role of WSP as prime consultant for the project included provision of site characterization investigations, review of contaminant fate and behaviour, hydrogeology, ecological assessment, assessment of creek hydrology, and site restoration.
