Port Credit Mobility Hub Study

  •  WSP developed a comprehensive mobility hub master plan for the introduction of region-wide improvements to higher-order transit, and the identification of supportive land uses and urban design to help achieve the City of Mississauga’s strategic goals.
  • Light rail transit on Hurontario Street, future rapid transit on Lakeshore Road, and more frequent all-day GO Transit service will greatly increase Port Credit’s connectivity by transit to the rest of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Areas.
  • While this increased connectivity will have a significant benefit on this well-established and walkable neighbourhood, new development pressures, increased tourism potential, and a higher demand for parking all need to be dealt with in a sensitive and coordinated manner.
  • WSP also developed a detailed plan for the GO Transit station area, identifying important development blocks, connections, and facilities to enhance the mixed-use, transit-oriented neighbourhood that currently exists around the station.
