Pushing his personal limits in support of cancer research: a WSP employee climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro!

Last October, engineer Mathieu Nadeau, a member of the scenographic project team at WSP's Montreal office, decided to fulfill a personal commitment in support of cancer research, a cause he has promoted whole-heartedly for the past several years. On this occasion, he took on a larger-than-life challenge by climbing all 5,895 m of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak!

"The six-day ascent began on Sunday, October 5 at an altitude of 1,800 metres. The group began its final approach to the summit at 5:00 AM on October 10. After only eight hours, 10 of the 12 participants had made it to the peak at 5,895 metres. After six days of effort, reaching the top is certainly an emotional experience!"

WSP gave its enthusiastic support to Mathieu's inspirational endeavour, through which he raised $11,300 for the Cancer Research Society.

A shining example of personal commitment and perseverance!
