Making the Most of GRESB Infrastructure

April 01, 2016

Global demand for new infrastructure is estimated to total more than $90 trillion between 2015 and 2030. Until recently, there have been no globally established tools to assess, validate, and benchmark the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) sustainability performance of infrastructure.

Released on April 1, 2016, the inaugural GRESB Infrastructure Assessment aims to fill this gap by providing institutional investors with a consistent framework to systematically assess and benchmark key ESG performance indicators of operating infrastructure assets, companies and funds.

The GRESB Infrastructure Assessment can be used for various types of infrastructure, including:

  • Energy generation
  • Energy transmission and distribution
  • Water
  • Waste treatment and disposal
  • Telecommunications
  • Transportation
  • Social

As a global leader in designing and delivering infrastructure projects, and as a GRESB Global Partner and participant in the GRESB Infrastructure Technical Working Group, WSP can provide valuable insight into the rapidly evolving requirements and opportunities for sustainability in infrastructure.

Read our GRESB Infrastructure White Paper to learn more about the GRESB Infrastructure Assessment and find out why WSP is uniquely positioned to help companies and funds succeed with the GRESB Infrastructure Assessment.
