Making the Most of GRESB Real Estate

March 30, 2016

In ’Making the Most of GRESB Real Estate’, WSP’s Sustainability & Energy team helps property companies and funds understand the benefits of responding to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) Assessment.

The Real Estate Assessment is an annual survey that has become the most widely accepted standard to measure, evaluate, and benchmark the sustainability performance of real estate portfolios. GRESB defines sustainability in terms of a portfolio’s plans, policies, and performance related to the environment, society, and governance (ESG).

WSP’s white paper provides an overview of the requirements and process for participating in the 2016 GRESB Real Estate Assessment, including:

  • An introduction to the questions and aspects covered in the Assessment
  • An explanation of how GRESB evaluates and scores performance
  • Changes made to the 2016 GRESB Real Estate Assessment, including a streamlined reporting process, new pilot indicators, and improved online portal
  • Important dates for responding to the 2016 GRESB Real Estate Assessment
  • Nine ways for respondents to improve their GRESB score
