WSP’s Tyler Morris Climbs onto Canadian Occupational Safety Magazine Cover

Canada’s leading occupational safety magazine chose WSP’s own Tyler Morris, a tower climber (and project engineer) who works in WSP’s Telecommunications service line, to be front and centre on its April/May magazine cover.  And inside, both Tyler and Tracey O’Krane, WSP’s Western Canada HSE manager, are interviewed in the lead article that examines the many safety factors involved in a tower climber’s role and what companies like WSP do to ensure worker safety.

Sharyn Gravelle, WSP’s Vice President, Telecom and Technology, says, “The telecommunications industry across Canada prides itself on workplace safety, and WSP is committed to ensuring our employees have the right training, tools, equipment, procedures and on-the-ground support to ensure their work is performed safely.”

WSP is one of the nine founding members of STAC – Structures, Towers & Antenna Council – with a mission to ensure the safety of all personnel involved with communication towers and related industry infrastructure.

To learn more about tower climbing, and how Tyler prepares when he scales towers as high as 810 feet, even at night, read the article “On the Edge”, here.
