The project scope is to develop three free flow alignment alternatives providing access to Jaber Al Ahmad Hospital and select the Preferred Alternative alignment. The Preferred Alternative alignment should be taken forward for detailed traffic analyses and undertake all improvements to System Interchanges, Service Interchanges and internal roadway network of South Surra Area. The project roadways are located in the heart of Kuwait City and serve relatively newly developed area of Kuwait.

The First Ring Road was planned in the early 1980’s as a vital route to serve the downtown Kuwait City area. The Southern Section of the First Ring Road was completed about a decade ago and the northern section is scheduled to be completed in the next 6 years.

To meet the Government of Dubai’s objective of producing 1000 MW of electricity through the use of renewable, photovoltaic technology by 2030, DEWA commissioned the building of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. This consists of a solar power generation plant built on a 285,000m2 plot. The site is mainly occupied by photovoltaic panels and a few support building. The project will generate 24 million kWh of electricity per year, saving 15,000 metric tonnes of CO2 per year.
