Mitigating your risks

Our approach is to identify the risk and establish measures that will mitigate the effects on schedule and cost – such as poor definition in design, re-work during fabrication or construction, and loss of availability during operation. We achieve this by establishing preventative measures alongside a robust appraisal programme.

  • Develop a robust project quality management strategy to ensure risks are identified and mitigated
  • Develop the project quality plan and procedures
  • Define and review quality criteria in consent, design and contract documents
  • Provide input to the project risk management system
  • Provide input during contract development
  • Review technical documents, plans, drawings and specification
  • Participate in the due diligence assessment of suppliers and contractors
  • Evaluate materials and equipment during selection, type testing or validation
  • Participate in design reviews including HAZOP, HAZAN and value engineering
  • Undertake assurance reviews and audits
  • Monitor and trend quality performance
  • Facilitate ‘lessons learnt’

Providing support

We can provide a complete quality management support service by seconding a quality manager into an organisation’s project team. The quality manager is then able to draw upon our international resources, materials, welding and non-destructive testing specialists, together with mechanical and electrical inspecting engineers.
