WSP appointed Security Technical Advisor for the Department for Work and Pensions

06 March - WSP has successfully secured the job as Security Technical Advisor, supporting the Department for Work and Pensions to mobilise its security services provider.


From April 2018, the Department for Work and Pensions will disaggregate its estates requirements and has appointed WSP to the Security Technical Advisor role through the Crown Commercial Service framework RM3741.

The 27 month programme of work will see the Security Technical Advisor offering expert advice to the Department for Work and Pensions as the security services provider, G4S, delivers and improves the department’s security requirements.

The Department for Work and Pensions currently operate from over 800 sites spread throughout the UK, from Orkney to Cornwall. The Security Technical Advisor will be required to review technical specifications, providing critical assessment and highlighting potential risks or vulnerabilities to achieve the optimum solution.

Previous large scale work from the security team at WSP has so far included London Wall Place, South Quays Plaza, London Bridge Station and London 2012.
