Exposition Corridor Phase 2 LRT Design-Build

Southern California has some of the most congested freeways in the country, and I-10, which runs through West Los Angeles to Santa Monica, is one of the most congested in Los Angeles County. The Expo light rail line, running near I-10, will enable riders to travel from downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica in approximately 46 minutes, instead of more than 1 hour during peak traffic hours.

WSP USA continues its long history in the development of Los Angeles’ transit network with this assignment as lead designer to the Exposition Construction Authority design-build joint venture for this light rail link. We will be responsible for all design management and key design aspects for Phase 2 of the project.

The Expo Phase 2 light rail project will add seven stations, terminating at 4th Street/Colorado in Santa Monica near the beach, and add 6.6 miles of new light rail service from the Phase 1 terminus at the Venice/Robertson Station in Culver City to Santa Monica.
