WSP Environmental Appoints Josh Nothwang as Practice Leader, Sustainability Strategy

Josh Nothwang, an expert in sustainability strategy, has joined as a practice leader within the Sustainability and Energy team, announces Jan Chizzonite, executive vice president and USA director of environmental at WSP, the global engineering, design and environmental consultancy.


Mr. Nothwang is based in WSP’s Boulder (Colorado) office.  In his new role, he leads WSP’s Sustainability Strategy offering, which helps clients develop comprehensive strategies, uncover opportunities to improve performance, and overcome organizational challenges related to sustainability. His team also provides expertise in managing supply chain sustainability risk and navigating the evolving landscape of voluntary reporting frameworks (e.g., CDP, Global Reporting Initiative, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board).

Previously, Mr. Nothwang served as senior manager, Strategy & Operations, in Deloitte Consulting LLP’s Denver office.  During his tenure at Deloitte, he led sustainability and supply chain engagements for Fortune 500 corporations across sectors.

Mr. Nothwang holds an MBA in corporate strategy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an MSc in environmental policy from the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the same institution.  In addition, he received a BA in environmental studies and geology from Middlebury College.
