CODD TO MANAGE TRANSPORTATION PLANNING FOR WSP | PARSONS BRINCKERHOFF IN NEW ENGLAND

Ned Codd will lead transportation planning teams as a senior supervising transportation planner in the Boston office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

 

BOSTON, MA — Ned Codd will lead transportation planning teams as a senior supervising transportation planner in the Boston office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Codd will lead and manage teams of professionals in planning, traffic and environmental planning, and will also act as a project manager on large transportation planning projects throughout New England.

Mr. Codd has nearly 20 years of transportation planning experience, working in both the public and private sectors. Before joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he served as an assistant secretary at the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), responsible for the development, implementation, and communication of the agency’s sustainability policies and related initiatives. Prior to that role, Mr. Codd served in a variety of transportation planning roles at MassDOT, including managing MassDOT’s oversight of the Commonwealth’s 13 metropolitan planning organizations to ensure adherence to federal planning and project programming requirements; directing a range of statewide and corridor plans; and supervising the review of transportation impacts and access needs for major development projects.

Mr. Codd received a master of business administration from Northeastern University; a master of science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin; and a bachelor of science in civil engineering from Princeton University.  He is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts, and his professional affiliations include the American Society of Civil Engineers, Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section, and Women’s Transportation Seminar.
