WSP | PARSONS BRINCKERHOFF TO PROVIDE CE&I SERVICES FOR I-65 RECONSTRUCTION

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded a contract to WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide construction engineering and inspection (CE&I) services on the I-65 Clark County Added Travel Lanes Project.

 

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has awarded a contract to WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff to provide construction engineering and inspection (CE&I) services on the I-65 Clark County Added Travel Lanes Project.

The project will reconstruct two lanes in each direction on seven miles of I-65 from Sellersburg (exit 9) to Memphis (exit 16) in Clark County, Indiana. It will also add a third lane in the median to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety. Six bridges will be rehabilitated and widened and all drainage culverts will be relined or replaced. In addition, the project includes extensive ITS installations and upgrades.

 Under its CE&I contract, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff will oversee all aspects of construction, including documentation of pay quantities, record keeping, and all material sampling and testing duties. Preliminary field work is set to begin in October 2015, with full construction commencing in April 2016. The project will be completed in summer 2018.
