Daniel Coleman to Lead Water Group in Virginia

Daniel G. Coleman has been named area manager for the water practice in the Virginia Beach office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

 

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Daniel G. Coleman has been named area manager for the water practice in the Virginia Beach office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Coleman will manage the firm’s Virginia water practice, focusing on water transmission, distribution, storage and treatment; wastewater treatment; and storm water study and design programs. Some of the firm’s recent projects in area include the Eastern Shore Drive pump stations; a water line crossing of the Elizabeth River; the North Beach pump station and ocean outfall; and the sanitary sewer overflow consent order master meter program for the Hampton Roads Sanitation District.

Mr. Coleman has 40 years of experience in water and wastewater consulting, 28 of which have been in Virginia. His areas of technical expertise include wastewater collection, transmission, treatment and rehabilitation; water distribution, storage and treatment; hazardous waste site investigation and remedial design; environmental compliance; and environmental management systems. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he was vice president for water with a nationwide engineering firm, responsible for business development and project management for clients in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia and West Virginia.

Mr. Coleman received a B.S. degree in environmental engineering from Syracuse University. He is a member of the American Water Works Association and Water Environment Federation (WEF), and was recently appointed to WEF’s collection systems committee.
