Doug Sawyer to Head Orange and San Bernardino Operations at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff

Doug Sawyer has been appointed area manager for transportation and infrastructure in the Orange and San Bernardino, California offices of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

 

ORANGE, CA — Doug Sawyer has been appointed area manager for transportation and infrastructure in the Orange and San Bernardino, California offices of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Sawyer will manage the operations of both offices, and will be responsible for client management and project performance of more than 140 professionals. Some of the firm’s recent projects in the area include the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center, SR 91 Express Lanes and Palm Springs Airport.

A WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff senior vice president, Mr. Sawyer has more than 38 years of project management, business development, and regional management experience on a wide variety of infrastructure projects on both the east and west coasts. During his 22 years with the firm, he has managed design and construction management projects involving highways, bridges, interchanges, grade separations, airports, rail transit, railroads, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and educational facilities. He has served as principal-in-charge of projects for the San Bernardino Associated Governments, the Los Angeles Unified School District, Caltrans District 8, and the Port of Los Angeles.

Mr. Sawyer received a B.S.C.E. degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has been a member of the American Railway Engineering Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers, American Public Works Association, and Construction Management Association of America.
