EXPANDING ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff will sponsor an open forum, organized by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, entitled “Fueling a Downstream Economy” (November 1, 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia). It will feature energy experts and regional stakeholders from industry and government.

The forum will highlight the economic benefits to the Greater Philadelphia region resulting from expanded infrastructure to transport natural gas and natural gas liquids from the Marcellus and Utica shale regions. Pipeline networks, trans-loading facilities, port and marine terminals and underground storage facilities are all needed to move these products to domestic markets and to improve access to international markets.

As a leading professional services firm serving the U.S. energy industry, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff recognizes the importance of advancing the dialogue on this vital subject.

Roger K. Rodiek, VP for strategic development, industrial and energy sector, WSP | Parsons BrinckerhoffOne of our own energy experts, Roger K. Rodiek (vice president for strategic development in the industrial and energy sector) will also participate in an Energy & the Environment Council discussion at Drexel University on November 2, 2016. The panel will explore the implications of having Philadelphia serve as a regional energy hub, and will address issues such as the type of infrastructure and level of investment needed, key environmental considerations, and the resulting opportunities for economic growth.
