Francis Cann To Lead Business Development Efforts At WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff

Francis Cann has been appointed a vice president at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

 

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Francis Cann has been appointed a vice president at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Cann serves as business development director in the firm’s power group, responsible for business development strategies in power generation, transmission and distribution, hydropower and energy services projects across the U.S. A part of the U.S. Industrial & Energy sector at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, the power group is a leading provider of technical, project management and consulting services. The group’s work includes application of conventional technologies for new power generating facilities and rehabilitation of older plants, as well as more innovative techniques to increase energy efficiency, including cogeneration, combined-cycle generation and the use of renewable energy sources.

Mr. Cann has over 35 years of experience in the power engineering and construction industry, having managed major projects involving nuclear generation, coal power, combined cycle systems, hydropower, power delivery, and energy plant upgrades. Before joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he served as vice president of the power and industrial business for the New York metro region at a global architectural engineering and construction company, responsible for the multi-billion dollar P & L for the business unit.

Mr. Cann received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Manhattan College. He is a member of the Project Management Institute.
