Federal Briefing: January 17, 2017 edition

This week's Federal Briefing offers a preview of the 115th Congress agenda as it relates to infrastructure, possible elements of the Trump infrastructure plan, Elaine Chao confirmation hearing coverage and more.

On Friday, Donald J. Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States. Trump has made numerous appointments of senior White House advisors and has nominated candidates for most Cabinet posts. In an effort to expedite the congressional confirmation process, the Senate has been holding confirmation hearings on many of the nominees with the expectation of voting to approve them as soon as Trump is sworn-in. On January 3, the 115th Congress was sworn-in with Republicans in control of both the House and Senate. Read our analysis of the 115th Congress agenda, the Trump infrastructure plan, Elaine Chao confirmation hearing, and other federal programs under way on our Federal Briefing website.
