James Girouard to Lead Maritime Practice for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in Southern California

James (Jim) Girouard has been appointed maritime manager for Southern California at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

 

ORANGE, CA — James (Jim) Girouard has been appointed maritime manager for Southern California at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization.

In his new position, Mr. Girouard will be responsible for business development, client relations and management of maritime consulting, planning, design and construction projects.

Mr. Girouard has more than 25 years of experience serving the maritime industry both nationally and internationally, including work at the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach. His areas of expertise include planning, design, program management and environmental permitting of container terminals, intermodal rail yards, terminal gate facilities, wharf/bridge structures, terminal buildings, utilities and road/rail infrastructure. Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, he held senior project and program management positions with several other major international engineering firms.

A licensed professional engineer in California and North Carolina, Mr. Girouard received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a member of the American Association of Port Authorities, American Society of Civil Engineers and American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
