We support operations throughout the life of a mine with expert advice from ore evaluations during exploration through to rehabilitation plans for mine closures and everything in between.

  • Horizon 1

Atlas Iron Limited (Atlas) plans to increase its hematite iron ore production (direct shipped ore, or DSO) in the Pilbara region from 6 million metric tons per year now mined to 12 million metric tons per year during 2013. This will require developing one existing and two new mines and the supporting haulage and port infrastructure to deliver product to port facilities at Port Hedland.
  • Mangoola Coal Project

Xstrata Coal NSW (XCN) is establishing a new thermal coal mine in the upper Hunter Valley. The project is referred to as the Mangoola Coal Project and includes not only the coal handing and preparation plant but also a rail spur and loop, buildings, services and infrastructure necessary to place the facility into operation.
  • Semi-Automated Railway Maintenance Workshop

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (Fortescue) is expanding its business and has set a target to export 155 million tonnes per year of iron ore by June 2013. As part of this expansion plan, Fortescue required an engineering, procurement advice, and construction management (EPCM) consultant to design and deliver support infrastructure for its main railway yard.
