In addition to the environmental benefits, higher ratings are beginning to result in some significant economic benefits.  As a general rule, operating costs will be lower (use less energy), higher rents can be obtained as tenants increasingly demand higher rated premises, and this combines into higher valuation of properties. 

NABERS ratings can be undertaken on:

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff  have accredited NABERS assessors in all states across Australia (only NABERS Accredited assessors can undertake ratings), with significant NABERS as well as energy efficiency experience.  We are able to quickly and efficiently assist you through the accreditation process.

BEEC and Commercial Building Disclosure

The Commercial Building Disclosure (CBD) Program is established under the Building Energy Efficiency Disclosure Act 2010 and requires sellers and lessors of office space of 2000m2 or more to obtain a Building Energy Efficiency Certificate (BEEC) before the building goes on the market for sale, lease or sublease.  WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff have CBD accredited assessors who can undertake the required Tenancy Lighting Assessment and NABERS Rating and manage the submission to the regulating authority.

NABER improvement plans

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff believe that the rating is only part of the process.  Greater value to the building owner and tenant lies in what actions take place after the rating.  With specialist existing building services engineers, we have the ability to provide assistance to improve and monitor the building rating in the most cost effective way. Often there are many low or no cost operational actions that can take place to drastically improve the NABERS rating and the energy performance of the building.
