WSP NZ sponsors Green Property Summit

For the second year in a row, WSP are proud to be sponsors of the New Zealand’s foremost green building event, The Green Property Summit. The Summit 2013 will bring national and international key players from the global and NZ green building movement to your business, offering you a unique opportunity to connect with leading industry knowledge and keynote speakers.

Our very own Richard Palmer from WSP Built Ecology, will be also be teaching a masterclass at the summit: Green Leasing: Contract and Financial Frameworks for Green Buildings
A 90 minute session which considers green buildings in the context of the property finance and contractual frameworks which underpin much of the commercial property industry.

The session will be recap the research relating to the financial performance of green buildings and present a model for capturing this in the viability stage of commercial projects. It will support the model with the business case for tenants, specifically noting the performance elements of a green building which add value to tenants. It will close with a discussion on green leases and note how a contractual frameworks (leasing as well as professional and facilities management services) can tie the viability questions of asset performance with the tenant-benefits of occupying a high-performance building.

The session will be as collaborative as possible, and draw on the experience and expertise of the attendees.
