A new era for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Transport team

Charlie Jewkes has been appointed as Director of Transport for Australia and New Zealand.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Asia Pacific CEO and President, Guy Templeton, highlighted the significance of the appointment.

‘Charlie’s appointment to the role of Director of Transport reflects our commitment to further expand what is a key national and global capability.

‘Charlie has strong client relationships across the region and proven skills in delivering major transport infrastructure projects and leading high-performing teams.’

Mr Jewkes is delighted to be at the helm during such an exciting time in the transport industry.

‘The buoyancy of the market means for the first time in many years we have major Transport Infrastructure opportunities in every region of Australia and New Zealand.

‘This year WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has grown our ANZ transport team by over 10% and we are on track for a headcount in excess of 650 by the end of 2015.

‘Our Western Australian and New Zealand teams in particular have experienced a strong period of growth with teams in both regions diversifying and expanding capability to service our clients.’

Mr Jewkes joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as Section Executive for Geotechnical and Tunnelling in 2006 and has been appointed to several key management roles since then.

Mr Jewkes has held leadership roles on some of Australia and New Zealand’s largest infrastructure projects including CLEM7 and the Airport Link and Northern Busway in Queensland, the East West Link in Victoria, and the Victoria Park Tunnel and Waterview Connection in New Zealand.
