Designing the future's health facilities, today

Tomorrow in Sydney, health sector leaders will gain an insight into the future of healthcare in Australia.

Speaking from the Australian Healthcare Week, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Health Sector Lead Damien Kenny said we must think beyond the needs of our times in healthcare design.

“The traditional healthcare model is now giving way to a ‘hub and spoke’ approach, as we move from an acute-based central hospital to more flexible, ambulatory care.

“Technology and improvements in medical knowledge strongly support the ‘hub and spoke’ model.

“For designers, technology provides the means to deliver creative designs and to think beyond our times,” said Mr Kenny.
