Rob Kilgour joins WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff as a Materials Technology Specialist, working within the structures business. Alan Philp joins the company as a Principal Transport Planner.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Client Director Phil Nicholls highlighted the importance of these two appointments.

‘We took a very selective and planned approach, based on meeting the needs of our West Australian clients.

‘Rob brings extensive consulting experience in the field of materials technology and asset management to the team - and to Western Australia - where these skills are currently in short supply.  He has advised on projects across the transport, civil infrastructure, maritime, energy, and property sectors in Australasia and in the Middle East.

‘Rob has particular insights and experience working on large infrastructure and building projects where materials performance is critical.

‘Alan has had a long career in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Singapore, before moving to Australia. He has strong skills in public transport, multi-modal modelling, pedestrian planning, station planning and parking.

‘With experience in managing large master planning projects, Alan will make a positive contribution in a city like Perth, where the population is expected to reach 3.5 million.

‘Alan has particular insights and experience working in constrained and congested cities,’ concluded Nicholls.

Mr Kilgour started with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff on the 2 November 2015 and Mr Philp joined on 19 October 2015. Mr Kilgour has already been assigned to a number of Main Roads projects, as well as supporting projects on the East Coast. Mr Philp is currently working with the Department of Transport and Main Roads WA.
