Strengthening our sustainability teams in South Australia and Victoria

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is strengthening its expertise as Senior Sustainability Consultant, Andrew Williams, is appointed to manage our new team in South Australia, while Associate Director Sustainability, Brendan Tapley, joins our team in Victoria.

Tim Parker, Sustainability Director for Australia New Zealand welcomed these relocations.

‘We have looked at how to better support our client portfolios and have established a new sustainability team in South Australia with Andrew relocating from Queensland. Brendan joins our existing Melbourne-based team, having relocated from the UK.

‘Mr Williams brings energy modelling, solar shading, thermal comfort and daylight analysis expertise along with significant Green Star capability to South Australia just as Adelaide gears up to be the world’s first carbon neutral city by 2025.

‘Notable projects in South Australia include the City Central CBD Development, Sustainable Industries Education Centre (TAFE SA), the Flinders University Student Hub development and the Flinders at Tonsley CSEM building, which recently received the best Educational Architecture award from the Australian Institute of Architects (South Australian Chapter) and was also recognised by Engineers Australia for its innovative use of BIM through all project phases including FM.

‘Mr Tapley, who joins our Melbourne based team, is a senior and well-respected sustainability consultant with extensive private and public sector experience. His expertise includes energy and carbon reporting (across criteria including GRESB), energy management and monitoring of buildings, through to sustainable precinct and infrastructure planning.

’Having previously managed WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s successful sustainable energy business in the UK, Mr Tapley led a number of international projects for institutional property investors, utility companies, blue-chip corporates and local, state and federal government authorities. This presents valuable experience for us to leverage for our clients here in Australia.

‘The collective experience of our sustainability teams in both regions positions us well to support our clients across major projects in the future.’ concluded Mr Parker.
