WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff appoints a new Client Director for rail from within its ranks

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has welcomed Jansen Stewart to his new role of Client Director, Rail for Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Stewart has worked with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff for the past 11 years. He was instrumental in building the NSW rail team and leading the early design team for Sydney Metro – Australia’s largest public transport project. Most recently he has been the client relationship lead for rail in NSW and ACT.

Mike Jenkins, the firm’s General Manager, Rail will continue as the rail delivery lead in Australia and New Zealand focusing on operations, project delivery and developing the company’s rail team capability.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Director of Transport, Charlie Jewkes, explained the rationale for the new appointment.

“Our Government clients are focussing on improving public transport and we are seeing an exciting portfolio of rail projects coming to market. We are also seeing a positive outlook amongst our private rail clients.

“Jansen will focus on growing our Australian and New Zealand rail accounts including KiwiRail, Australia Rail Track Corporation and Metro Trains Melbourne.”

Mr Stewart joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2005 and previously held contractor and consultancy positions at Carillion and at Atkins delivering projects including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link and the West Coast Main Line upgrade project.
