Can We Be Smart About Improving the Performance of Buildings?

As property owners and operators face increasing pressure to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints, WSP bolsters our intelligent buildings capability with the appointment of Gareth Astbury, Senior Building Management & Control Systems Specialist.


Mr Astbury hales from WSP’s business in Africa and has extensive experience in working with private and public clients, such as PwC, Department of Public Works and Teraco Data Centres, to streamline processes and optimise the performance of buildings.

He has a robust understanding of converged networks, network architecture and the communications protocols that connect various intelligent building systems.

WSP’s Technical Director & Technology Systems Discipline Leader ANZ, Roneel Singh said, “Mr Astbury’s knowledge and experience are valuable as we expand our technology systems capability for smart buildings.”

In his role, Mr Astbury will work with clients across Australia and New Zealand to help them create smart buildings infrastructure that is appropriately planned, designed, staged and budgeted.
