Natalie Lukies and Andrew Kerley join the discussion on the future of Wind

The Clean Energy Council’s Wind Industry Forum is Australia’s premier technical forum for discussions on the wind industry. This year hundreds of specialists from across the industry including designers, planners, engineers and researchers are attending in Melbourne to ideate on and improve the way the wind industry powers Australia.

 

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is proud to continue their annual sponsorship of the Wind Industry forum this year. Natalie Lukies, Senior Wind Engineer and Andrew Kerley Engineering Manager, Wind have been invited to present at the forum. Natalie’s topic “Onshore wake modelling, validation and updated methods” aims to discuss different approaches to wake modelling and present the results of our validation study. She will also present preliminary results and updates on new methods for wake modelling of large array on-shore wind farms.

Natalie Lukies is a Senior Wind Engineer with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Natalie has worked as a technical consultant in the wind industry since 2008 on various wind farm projects in Australia, China, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa. Natalie provides engineering expertise on wind farm projects including wind resource assessment, site identification, wind turbine selection, operational assessments and the development of technical documentation. Natalie is also experienced in the technical due diligence of operational and greenfield wind farm projects and as Lenders Engineer during construction.

 

Andrew is the Engineering Manager – Wind at WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff and is based in Melbourne. He has over 12 years’ experience in the renewable industry. Andrew’s experience as Owner’s Engineer and Independent Engineer on Australian and international projects has given him exposure to a range of developers, financiers, contracts, equipment suppliers, site conditions, and constraints. Andrew has also acted as technical advisor to investors looking to invest in operational assets having inspected wind turbines and assessing operational history, and operations, maintenance and management contracts.
