WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Committed to Championing Women in Property

Congratulations to those selected for the 2017 Property Council of Australia’s 100 Women in Property program.

The sponsorship program was launched in 2016 as a commitment to support diversity in the property industry. The program champions the participants by providing a networking and professional development program that works towards increasing the number of women in leadership positions.

The initiative encourages Property Council members to nominate women from their organisation who would benefit from the program, and act as a sponsor to support them in furthering their professional development.

When the program launched, the initial target was for 100 women and 100 sponsors; over a year the program has already grown, with the 2017 program exceeding over 500 applicants.

Wayne Bretherton, Director of Property & Buildings and a Leader of the WSP | PB’s Diversity Council, understands the significance of this program and the need for an industry commitment to build diversity and gender equality within the property industry.

‘Diversity is a key focus area at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff; our Diversity Council is committed to fostering a culture that supports the growth and development of women in our organisation' Wayne said. 'Programs like the PCA’s 100 Women in Property are an important part of campaigning change and diversity within the property industry and work to achieve an increase in the number of women in senior leadership positions.

'Congratulations to all sixteen WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff nominees selected for the 2017 program. We are committed to championing these women within the program, and support them to achieve their professional goals.’
