Alecta acquires 10 properties in Nacka Strand

Alecta has acquired as portfolio of 10 properties with a total are of 110 000 sqm in Nacka Strand, south east of Stockholm. The properties have a mixed use, but mostly consist of offices, public buildings and even a hotel.

 

Nacka Strand is a former industrial neighbourhood mostly known for the car factory that was located here since the 1930s. Since the 1990s the neighbourhood underwent a complete makeover when the old factory buildings were converted and new office and residential buildings were added. Apart from this unique mix of buildings, the neighbourhood is located by the Stockholm Archipelago and has its own harbour.

WSP conducted a technical and environmental due diligence on the buyer side. The historical industrial background of the neighbourhood demanded dor an elaborated environmental screening. Regarding the technical part, a team of technical experts was set up to screen all the buildings within the strict time frame. WSP's advice finally led to a successful transaction.
